Word of the Week: Respect

Week beginning March 7, 2022; each week we discuss a principle or value of the Qualities of Success. We suggest you use the Word of The Week in your thoughts, deeds and actions. You might currently possess the quality and desire to develop it to a higher level. You could replace a bad habit with a good habit. Write an action step and use it daily to develop the Quality in your life.

The word this week is RESPECT; comes from Latin word, “respectus” meaning attention, regard, or consideration. Holding one in high regard. Having a feeling of high esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. Away of thinking or treating someone.

A significant challenge, with the acceleratedpace of change in the world today, has made it difficult to create an environment that allows businesses and families to do their best. Mutual respect from all members is required to keep them engaged, collaborating, innovating and creating.

There are two ways to show, grow and create respect with business and families:

1. Everyone needs Appreciation, Inspiration and Recognition.

2. Family and Company meetings need to be Inclusive, respectful and everyone is allowed to be heard.

We must give respect to get respect. We must acknowledge the value of each person. We must respect the opinion of each person. Consider the following questions for the week:

1. What can I do to allow me to respect myself more?

2. How can I show, create, and build respect with my family and my business team members?
